Workspace pages are where a Workspace's shared picture accumulates. They keep durable context close to the work: the Workspace charter, objectives, decisions, operating practices, runbooks, retrospectives, and other material people need to understand the current situation.
How pages fit into shared context
Maintained pages are the narrative layer of a Workspace's shared context. They explain why the Workspace exists, how the team operates, which constraints matter, and what someone needs to know before acting.
They work alongside other sourced context in In Parallel:
Context | Role |
Workspace pages | Durable explanation and handover |
Goals | Intended outcomes and measures of success |
Meetings and Findings | Sourced decisions, actions, risks, questions, and learnings |
In Parallel can refresh maintained pages from authorized Workspace activity, the Charter, and uploaded documents. Home, Chat, briefings, and connected AI tools can then reuse that context without asking the team to explain the Workspace from scratch.
A maintained page is a useful summary, not a replacement for its sources. Follow source links and check the page's update state before relying on an important claim.
Find a Workspace page
Open the navigation menu. A favourite Workspace exposes its pages directly underneath the Workspace name. For a non-favourite, open the Workspace from the separate Workspaces section. Select a page such as Charter, Runbook, or Retro Log to open it.
Pages are not grouped under a separate Knowledge base item in the current navigation.
To see the full page tree, open your user menu, select Settings, choose the Workspace, and open Pages. This tab contains Structure, Archived pages, New page, and Background documents.
Create a page
In the navigation, point to the Workspace and select the + beside its name.
Describe the page you need, then select Create; or choose one of the starting options shown in the dialog.
The current creation dialog offers:
a recommended typed page;
Blank page;
Start from a document.
Browse all page types opens the page-type browser. It does not create a page until you select a type and complete the creation flow.
Available page types depend on the Workspace. Examples include Meetings, Stakeholder Map, Roadmap, Action Items, Learnings, Open Questions, Opportunities, Retro Log, 1:1 Log, Meeting Cadence, Opportunity Pipeline, and Vendor Scorecard.
Review a generated first version before relying on it. A typed page may use Workspace activity, the Charter, uploaded documents, and observation kinds associated with that page type.
Understand the page header
The page header shows the controls that help you judge and use the page:
Title — edit the page name directly when you have permission.
Add to favourites — keep a frequently used page in your personal navigation.
About this page — open How this page works to see the page's purpose, perspective, source inputs, and refresh behavior.
Updated or a refresh status — check when maintenance last ran. Select the status to open Version history when versions are available.
Run with [preferred client] — continue with the page in the AI client selected in your personal settings. Accounts set to ask every time may show a generic Run with AI handoff instead.
Page actions (
…) — organize and print the page, with archive or delete controls when the page permits them.
If the header shows Refresh failed, treat the current page as potentially stale. You can still read and edit it, but confirm important details against the underlying Workspace records.
Edit a page
Open the page and edit its title or content directly. Changes are saved to the shared Workspace page, so keep durable team context in the page and leave temporary discussion in Chat or your collaboration tools.
Correct the page directly when it is wrong or outdated. Changes remain attributable, and Version history lets you review earlier versions when available.
Use About this page before making a structural edit. The How this page works dialog explains what the page is for, who it is written for, what it draws on, and when In Parallel refreshes it.
Select the page's freshness state to open Version history and compare available versions.
To request a fresh generated version, open Settings → [Workspace] → Pages and select Recompile on the relevant typed page. Recompile is not shown for every page, including some manual or legacy pages.
Organize pages
Use the Structure area under Settings → [Workspace] → Pages to drag pages into the desired order or nest them beneath a parent. You can also open Page actions (…) on an individual page to:
Create a subpage
Rename or move the page
Move it up or down among its siblings
Print the page
Archive or delete the page when those actions are available
Use a subpage when the material belongs under a stable parent. When an Archive or Delete action is available, read its confirmation carefully and follow your organization's retention policy.
The available actions depend on the page. Product-managed or required pages may not offer Archive or Delete permanently.
Warning: Delete permanently is destructive. Verify the page, sources, and retention requirements before confirming it.
Run a page with AI
Select Run with [preferred client] when you want an AI tool to continue from the page's context. Open the adjacent menu and choose Copy as prompt when you prefer to paste the prepared handoff yourself, or Choose every time… when you do not want to use the current preferred client.
The handoff uses the page as working context. It does not make every statement on the page correct, and it does not give the receiving tool access to other Workspace material unless that access is separately available.
For a conversation inside In Parallel, select Ask on the page when that entry point is available. Chat opens beside the page with its Workspace and page context visible. You can also open New chat, add the Workspace as context, and ask your question in Ask anything.
