Using In Parallel with Zoom

Overview

In Parallel integrates with Zoom via the Zoom Marketplace to provide seamless meeting workflows, agenda management, and AI-assisted meeting summaries directly tied to your Zoom calls.

Our Zoom integration enables you to:

  • Access AI summaries and notes after your Zoom calls.

  • Automatically save recordings, transcripts, and decisions made in Zoom into your In Parallel workspace.

This integration is officially supported and available through the Zoom Marketplace.


How to Connect In Parallel to Zoom

1. Install via Zoom Marketplace

  1. Go to the Zoom Marketplace:
    https://marketplace.zoom.us/

  2. Search for In Parallel.

  3. Click Install and follow the prompts to authorize access to your Zoom account.

  4. Once installed, Zoom will be linked to your In Parallel workspace.

⚠️ You must have admin permissions in Zoom to complete the integration.


Using Zoom in In Parallel

Schedule a Zoom Meeting

  1. In In Parallel, create or open a meeting.

  2. Click Add Video Call.

  3. Select Zoom as the provider.

  4. In Parallel will schedule the Zoom meeting and save the meeting link.

Start the Zoom Call

  • Click the Zoom link in the In Parallel meeting widget.

  • Your Zoom app/browser will launch the meeting automatically.

After the Meeting

  • Once the Zoom call ends, In Parallel will:

    • Pull in the recording and transcript (if enabled).

    • Generate meeting summaries and action items.

    • Attach Zoom artifacts (recordings, chat, transcripts) to the meeting page.


Permissions Required

To use the Zoom integration, In Parallel needs the following Zoom scopes:

  • View and manage your meetings

  • View user information

  • Recordings and transcripts access (optional, if you enable post-meeting features)

You’ll be prompted to grant these when installing from the Zoom Marketplace.


Troubleshooting

The Zoom Button Doesn’t Appear

  • Make sure you’ve installed the In Parallel Zoom app in the Zoom Marketplace.

  • Confirm you’re logged into the correct Zoom account.

  • Refresh your In Parallel workspace.

Meetings Don’t Sync

  • Check that your Zoom credentials haven’t expired.

  • Go to Settings → Integrations → Zoom in In Parallel and reconnect Zoom.

Recordings or Transcripts Not Appearing

  • Ensure recording is enabled in Zoom before the meeting starts.

  • Check Zoom account settings for cloud recording permissions.
