Using Google Meet with In Parallel

How to Connect In Parallel to Google Meet

1. Enable Google Workspace Integration

  1. From In Parallel, go to Settings → Integrations.

  2. Choose Google and sign in with your Google Workspace or Gmail account.

  3. Allow In Parallel the requested permissions to access your calendar and meetings.

Once connected, Google Meet meetings will be attended by note-taker.


Using Google Meet in In Parallel

Schedule a Google Meet

  1. Open or create a meeting in In Parallel or your Google Workspace.

  2. Click Add Video Call.

  3. Choose Google Meet as the provider.

  4. A Meet link will be generated and added to invites.

Join a Google Meet

  • Click the Meet link in the meeting page or calendar event to join the call.

After the Meeting

In Parallel will:

  • Join the meeting, and generate AI summaries and action items.

Note: Recordings and transcripts from Google Meet may require Google Workspace settings to be enabled.


Permissions Required

To support Google Meet features, In Parallel requests:

  • Access to your Google Calendar.

  • Permissions to create and modify events.

  • (Optional) Access to Meet recording and transcription artifacts.

These are requested during the Google sign-in flow.


Troubleshooting

Google Meet Option Not Showing

  • Confirm you connected your Google account in Settings → Integrations.

  • Refresh your browser.

Meet Links Don’t Appear

  • Make sure your Google account has Meet enabled.

  • Check that calendar permissions were granted.

Recordings or Transcripts Missing

  • Google Workspace may require specific admin settings for Meet recordings or transcripts.
