Home is your personal starting point in In Parallel. Ask a question, add context, or choose a suggested action from the composer.
Getting started (new accounts)
Until you finish onboarding, Home shows Getting started: steps to connect your calendar, set up your first Workspace, and check your next meetings, plus extras: connecting Zoom (needed if your meetings use Zoom), and optionally Slack and an intro with the In Parallel team. Select Dismiss to fold it into an Onboarding bar that shows how many tasks are done, and Continue to open it again. See Get started with In Parallel for each step.
Ask from Home
Enter a request in Ask anything.
Use Add context when the request should focus on a particular Workspace, Topic, or document.
Send the request, then follow source links before relying on an important claim.
Useful starting requests include:
“What needs my attention today?”
“Which two items need a decision first?”
“Prepare me for my first meeting next week.”
“Run a drift report for the Holiday Peak Readiness Workspace.”
When a question is too broad, add one Workspace or Topic and ask again.
Use a suggested action
Home can show Morning brief, Triage decisions, and Drift report beneath the composer. Each suggestion carries a send arrow: selecting it sends that request to Chat straight away.
The notification shortcut opens existing notifications or ready outputs. Opening one of those items is separate from starting a new Chat request.
Browse recent context
Switch between Cards and List to browse:
Workspaces — open a Workspace and its shared context.
Past meetings — return to a meeting.
Topics — explore themes across your accessible context.
Waiting for you — open notifications and ready outputs, such as a brief or Daily Digest.
Select an item to open it. Use the section heading link, or View all in List, to open its full list. Sections can have fewer items when little context is available.
Check the answer
Chat uses only context you are allowed to access.
Added context narrows the request; it does not make generated text authoritative.
Open source links when you need the full wording, owner, state, or history behind a claim.
Ask a focused follow-up when the answer combines unrelated Workspaces or time periods.
