Chat helps you understand current Workspace context without leaving In Parallel. Start from Home, open a separate conversation, or ask about the page you are viewing.

Your recent conversations appear under Recent chats in the navigation.
Start from Home
Home opens as a Chat window with Ask anything, Add context, and suggested actions. Current suggestions can include Morning briefing, Triage decisions, and Drift report.
Enter a request directly or select a suggestion. Home can also show a shortcut when a notification or scheduled output is ready.
Continue in the full Chat view
After you send a request from Home or select a suggested action, the conversation opens in the full Chat view. Continue with a follow-up in the composer.
Add context when it will improve the answer
Select Add context. You can search the available context or choose from the controls shown for your account:
Attach documents
Workspaces
Tags
In the rest of the product, Tags are presented as Topics. Select a Workspace or Topic when your request should stay within that boundary. The selected item appears as a context chip beside the composer.
Attach a document only when it is appropriate to share that file with In Parallel. The presence of the attachment control does not guarantee that every file type or account configuration is supported.
Check the context before you send
Context changes the scope of the answer. Check the chip before an unqualified request such as “What is at risk?” or “Summarize this.” Remove a chip when you want the next question to use a different scope.
Ask about a Workspace page
Open the relevant Workspace page and select Ask when that entry point is available. Chat opens with the visible page and its Workspace as context, so a request such as “What is missing from this runbook?” can start from what you are already reading.
For a focused handoff to another AI tool, use the page's Run with AI button instead.
Find and manage conversations
Open Recent chats to search conversation history. Switch between Active and Archived conversations, then use a conversation's actions menu to manage it.
The Active and Archived views help separate current conversations from older ones. Available actions can vary; read the confirmation before changing or deleting a conversation.
Check important answers
Chat uses only context you are allowed to access.
Added context narrows a turn; it does not make generated text authoritative.
Open source links before acting on a consequential claim.
If an answer is too broad, add one Workspace or Topic and ask again.
If a maintained page shows a failed refresh, verify the answer against its source records.
