Send to AI prepares the current In Parallel context for work in another AI tool. The button can name your preferred client, such as Send to Claude.
Choose the context
Start from the record that contains the context you need:
Workspace home for the Workspace's shared context.
A Workspace page for a Charter, Runbook, or other maintained page.
A meeting for its captured context.
An observation for a specific Action Item, decision, or other source-linked record.
Send context to your AI client
Open the Workspace, page, meeting, or observation.
Select its Send to AI button, which may name the selected client.
Follow the handoff into that client. Some clients use a copied prompt that you paste yourself.
Review the context and proposed work before continuing.
Open the adjacent menu and choose:
Copy as prompt to copy the prepared handoff for pasting yourself.
Choose every time… to select a client for each handoff.
To change the default, open Settings → Personal → Integrations → Preferred AI client for Send to AI and choose a client or Always ask.
Useful follow-up work
For example, ask your AI tool to:
turn a Runbook into a checklist for a specific incident;
prepare a handover from the current Charter;
review objectives for gaps or contradictions;
draft a decision brief or meeting recap from the supplied context.
Check the audience, destination, and wording before sending a message or changing a record in another tool.

A prepared handoff does not by itself give the receiving tool access to other Workspace material. An MCP connection provides separately authorized access.
Privacy and review
The AI tool you choose has its own privacy and retention policy. Check what you share, especially when the context contains sensitive information.
The receiving AI can still make mistakes. Check important claims against the source and keep a person responsible for consequential decisions, communications, and writes.
