Review and publish meeting updates

Review proposed Workspace updates in a meeting's Actions tab and publish the changes you want to keep.

Written by Topi Järvinen

After a meeting is processed, In Parallel can propose updates to a Workspace's shared context. These proposals are called changelogs. On the meeting page, they appear under Actions → Workspace updates.

Each card names a Workspace under Publish changes to and summarizes the proposed updates. A meeting can have cards for more than one Workspace. Review each proposal before publishing it.

Find the proposed updates

  1. Open Meetings and select the meeting.

  2. Open Actions.

  3. Find Workspace updates and the card you want to review.

  4. Check the Workspace named after Publish changes to.

The destination on the card is a Workspace. You do not choose an individual Workspace page from this card.

Review and publish a Workspace update

Read the proposed updates alongside the meeting's Notes. Use the Transcript when you need to check what was said. Pay particular attention to names, dates, owners, and whether a decision was final or conditional.

Choose an action on the card:

  • Edit opens the Draft description field. Update the description, then select Save, or select Cancel to leave it unchanged.

  • Reject declines the proposal for that Workspace.

  • Publish all publishes the proposed updates in that card to its named Workspace. Use it when you are satisfied with the proposal.

If the meeting has several Workspace update cards, review each one separately. Confirm the destination before publishing each card.

Start from the meeting-summary email

A meeting-summary email can also include a proposed Workspace update. The example below shows the Workspace name, a summary, View 13 updates, and Publish. The number of updates varies by meeting.

To review the proposal in the product, open the meeting in In Parallel and go to Actions → Workspace updates. Check the current proposal there before publishing.

Check the meeting's Workspace connection

The meeting's Meeting details panel also has a Publish to control for connecting the meeting to a Workspace. When no Workspace is linked there, it shows Add workspace.

A proposed Workspace update can already appear under Actions while Publish to still shows Add workspace, as in the example above. Check the Workspace named on the update card when deciding where to publish. Use Publish to when you need to connect the meeting manually.
