You can download the complete, verbatim transcript of a meeting straight from its meeting page. This gives you the raw record to archive, review in full, or bring into another tool yourself — you decide what leaves In Parallel and where it goes.
It's a useful alternative to a live AI connection: where connecting an AI tool over MCP streams structured data to an assistant on demand, downloading the transcript hands you the file directly, so you control exactly what you share.
Before you start
The meeting must already have been captured and processed by the Recorder — the raw transcript is available once In Parallel has finished generating the meeting's notes.
You're downloading the raw transcript (the verbatim record), not the structured post-meeting report. For the reviewed summary, decisions, and actions, see Review meeting Notes and Actions.
Download the transcript
Open the meeting from Meetings or from the relevant Workspace.
On the meeting page, open the Transcript tab.
Select Download. The transcript downloads to your device.
No transcript yet? If the meeting is still processing — or never had a transcript — the Transcript tab shows "No transcript is available for this meeting" and there's nothing to download. Wait until the Recorder has finished generating the meeting's notes.
No Download button? Admins can turn off meeting downloads for the whole organization. When downloads are disabled, the Transcript tab still shows the transcript, but the Download button is hidden. An admin can re-enable downloads in your organization's meeting-downloads policy — see Manage your Company settings.
Keeping control of your data
Downloading the transcript is one of two ways to control what meeting data goes elsewhere:
Take it yourself — download the raw transcript (above) and choose what to do with the file.
Share it live, but masked — if you connect an AI assistant over MCP, you can turn on MCP privacy so the assistant sees the work without seeing real names or email addresses.
