Configure Workspace briefs

Choose the schedule, length, audience, and delivery methods for Workspace briefs.

Written by Topi Järvinen

A Workspace briefing gives people a forward-looking view of the current situation and what needs attention. Configure its schedule, length, and delivery under the Workspace's Notifications settings.

Before you start

You need Owner access to change the Workspace's notification settings.

Set the schedule and length

  1. Open your user menu and select Settings.

  2. Choose the Workspace in the settings navigation.

  3. Open Notifications and find the Briefs card.

  4. Choose the Daily or Weekly schedule you need, including the day and time where shown.

  5. Use the length control to choose how detailed the output should be.

Use the schedule to match the team's working rhythm. A shorter briefing can help people spot the next decision or blocker; source links provide more detail.

Choose who receives it

Review both delivery controls:

  • Delivery to you chooses how you receive your personal copy.

  • Delivery to workspace chooses delivery for the shared copy.

Open Select delivery methods to choose the intended method. Available methods include Email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, subject to the account's integrations and permissions.

Closed Delivery to workspace control on the Briefs card

A schedule can be enabled without the delivery method you expected. Check the schedule, audience, and destination together.

Deliver to Slack or Microsoft Teams channels

  1. Open Settings → [Workspace] → Integrations.

  2. Under Workspace channels, connect the intended channel using Edit Slack channels or Edit Teams channels when available.

  3. Enable Deliver briefs to channels for briefs and digests sent to those channels.

  4. Return to Notifications and review the schedule and shared delivery selection.

The channel switches have separate purposes:

Control

What it controls

Capture observations from channels

Reading channel messages into Workspace context

Deliver meeting notes to channels

Posting full meeting reports

Deliver briefs to channels

Posting briefs and digests

Deliver meeting start pings to channels

Posting reminders before meetings

Connecting a channel alone does not turn on delivery. Channel members can see posted content, so confirm that they are the intended audience.

Personal Daily Digest

The personal Daily digest has its own generation time under Settings → Personal → Notifications. Its Daily Digest switch under In-app notifications → Briefs & digests controls the notification when it is ready.

See Manage email notifications for personal and meeting delivery settings.
